RIMVEST SA

Data we collect
At the initial submission stage, we receive the watch details and photographs, your preferences, declarations, email address and, if you choose, telephone number. No identity document is requested at this stage. Only after both parties have agreed on the price does the seller submit their name, date of birth, address and a copy of an identity card or passport to secure the appointment. To complete the sale, RIMVEST records the inspection result, verified serial number, provenance details, signed contract and annex, and the dates, confirmations and supporting documents for payment and handover.
Why we use it
To assess the consistency of the file, prepare a possible offer, contact you, prevent fraudulent submissions, arrange an inspection and retain a record of consents and decisions.
Access and recipients
Access is limited to authorised persons at RIMVEST SA and technical providers essential to the secure hosting of the service. Watch photographs are accessible through your confidential link or the protected RIMVEST workspace. Copies of identity documents and bank evidence can be viewed only in the protected RIMVEST workspace. Once the file is closed, the seller can also access the signed contract and handover receipt through their confidential link.
International placement
International placement concerns the watch, not the seller’s identity. Once an offer has been accepted, certain commercial information about the piece may be presented in authorised territories according to your instructions. Your contact details and identity are not published or disclosed to potential buyers without a clearly stated need.
Retention and your rights
Data is retained only for the time needed to assess the file and, if a transaction takes place, to comply with contractual and legal obligations. You may request access, correction or, where permitted by law, deletion of your data by writing to the address above. A deletion request does not override a legal retention obligation.
Access codes and notifications
Seller access to a file and its documents uses a personal, single-use link, valid for 24 hours, sent to the email address provided at submission. This link grants access and must not be forwarded. An email code is also available, including after the link expires. The code expires after 10 minutes and the session after a maximum of 24 hours. RIMVEST can suspend access. Resend sends codes and notifications and processes the recipient address, message content and delivery information. Identity documents, bank evidence, photographs and amounts are not included in these notifications. Replies are received by RIMVEST at contact@cote-calibre.ch.
